we got super lucky on this one. local fires made us rearrange our travel plans- the smoke chased us around and we thought we would have to leave (pun inteneded). we woke up to a surprise snow storm that pushed the smoke out and left a trail of snow dusted trees. often the leaves drop before the first snow, so this one was pretty special
